Week 11 Predictions

Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City Chiefs

America’s team faces off against the red hot Kansas City Chiefs. Dallas comes off a dominating win against a struggling Atlanta Falcons team, both offensively and defensively. They pose themselves as playoff favorites with a stellar 7-2 record. Kansas City is rebounding from their unusually slow start to the season, also wrecking house against a middling Raiders team, who seem to be amid internal struggles. Both offences are electric, being led by the consistently great Dak Prescott for the Cowboys and the 2019 MVP Patrick Mahomes for the Chiefs. The bigger question for both teams is how their defences will perform. They match up very similarly, seeming to hold up rock strong or falling over like a sack of potatoes. Throughout the season Dallas has seemed to perform much more consistently but this game could easily go either way. 35-32 Dallas.

Dak Prescott

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks

The Cardinals fly up north to meet their fellow bird counterparts in a colder area. On paper, the Cardinals have the upper hand, having a 8-2 record compared to the Seahawks lacking 3-6 record. However, Cardinals has been recently plagued with many injury issues, including star defensive linemen JJ Watt being out for the entire season and with starting star quarterback Kyler Murray and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins still listed as both questionable for Sunday’s game. Arizona still has quite a potent offence even without them with players like James Connor and Zach Ertz but will certainly still have to grind out some plays to secure the win against Seattle’s consistently middling defence. On the other side of the field a hungry Seahawks team looks forward for a big victory with long time starting QB Russel Wilson returning after a long hiatus due to injury. They pose deadly receiving threats like Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf but haven’t seemed to be on the same page as of recent. Still, the Seahawks extra motivation makes me want to give them the edge in this game. 21-17 Seahawks

Russell Wilson

Cincinnati Bengals at Las Vegas Raiders

The Bengals travel to the party city of Las Vegas to play in an exciting afternoon matchup. With both teams at an even 5-4 record this game bodes extremely important for each team’s playoff hopes. The Raiders, struggling with the loss of head coach John Gruden and wide receiver Henry Ruggs III have lost their last two games in convincing fashion, albeit the most recent one being against a star-studded Kansas Chief squad. The Bengals, while not having to deal with any massive internal struggles, have also lost their last two games, with the earlier one being against the 2-7 Jets, a massive blow to their confidence. The Raiders defence has been paper thin, presenting a juicy target for the Bengals’ great wide receiver core, with three very capable receivers of Jamarr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. Led by Joe Burrow, they should be optimistic at the prospect of a solid offence performance. On the Raiders offence, a similar outlook albeit without strong receiving threats but still a consistent performer with quarterback Derek Carr. However, my belief in Joe Burrow leads me to believe that the Bengals will secure a solid win. Bengals 28-10

Derek Carr

Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills

The Indianapolis Colts travel up to the frigid area of Buffalo in a noon matchup that proves of great importance for both teams. For the Colts, at 5-5, this is a must win game. Going below the coveted .500 mark could be another severe blow to this team which can’t seem to find any ounce of consistency, seemingly beat out in most close games. Buffalo, although still having a fairly healthy record at 6-3, comes off a devastating loss against a previously only one win Jacksonville Jaguars, having arguably one of their worst performances in recent years by not even breaking the double digits in points scored. Still, Buffalo looks to rebound with a solid team overall on both sides of the ball. Offensively, former MVP candidate Josh Allen has been performing well besides the game recently along with a great receiving core. Defensively, Buffalo’s team looks to be on lock, with the weakest part being only a middling linebacker core. On the other side of the field is a great Colts defence, seemingly capable of stopping any team on a good day. However, their quarterback, Carson Wentz, still suffers from his inconsistency issues. Sunday’s game will be determined by Wentz but I still give the upper hand to Buffalo. 38-25 Buffalo.

  1. Justin,
Since I did the same post as you, I’m going to compare our predictions and see how we each did and evaluate. I also had Dallas winning against the Chiefs. I think they would have, too, if Amari Cooper and Ceedee Lamb could’ve played. Instead it was a lackluster performance for both teams. I had the Cardinals winning, unlike you. I thought it was a toss up game, but ultimately the Cardinals would win because of Russ’s rustiness coming off of his finger injury. It was relatively low scoring, and overall very disappointing to see. Hopefully Kyler and D Hop come back soon. I also had the Bengals winning. Joe Mixon is an absolute beast. He is very underrated, and I think we both overlooked him in our predictions. I also predicted the Bills vs. Colts game right, but unfortunately you picked incorrectly. I think the one thing you missed was that Jonathan Taylor is an absolute stud. FIVE touchdowns. You can’t beat that. I will say, Buffalo didn’t look like themselves, and I think they let the previous loss creep into their minds too much. They learned from that by beating New Orleans in Week 12.
