a quick little life update :)

September25

Hey y’all. I figured I would hop on here and give you some updates on where my life is at at the moment. Currently, I’m stressed OUT. Like, when I tell you I have never been more excited about graduation, that is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I knew college applications were going to be super difficult, but I think I underestimated just how difficult it would be. I’m having second thoughts about my final list for schools, debating whether or not to switch my topic for my essay, and scared I won’t get into any of the schools I’m applying to. Of course this is a little exaggerated, but I tend to worry myself to death about a lot of things. One thing you’ll quickly learn about me is that I overthink everything.

Additionally, I’ve started getting involved in school spirit. Now this is something I never thought I would be saying, but I figured I should since this is my last year. I went to my first high school football game this year and honestly I’m super upset I didn’t go to any in my previous years. Soon I’ll have to be adulting and making important desicions. I want to fit in as much fun as possible into my senior year because I’ll never get that time back. So, whomever may be reading, I suggest you do the same.

Sincerely,

J 🙂

Keep going! I totally understand how you are feeling and you are not the only one. This is one of the biggest decisions at least for me, and I feel as if I screw this up, my life is over. Really, that’s my mindset. All I can tell you is that you can do it! Wherever you go is where you are supposed to go and you will have a great time. Soon you won’t have to worry about them and it’ll be all over. Best of luck and hope you get through it!

Hey Jordan:) I find it crazy and hilarious that you said the same exact words, “I’m so ready for graduation”, to me today LOL and once again, I feel ya. It seriously is super hard at times to balance life, especially in the season of life we are currently in. We have sooo much on our plates at the moment and I completely understand you when you say you’re stressed. I actually wrote my blog post about ways we can destress because I thought we could all use it hahahah but I love that you’ve gotten more involved this year and are making some great realizations!! It makes me sad to think about just how fast this last year is going to fly by.

Hello, Jordan! I, to some degree, am feeling a similar stress to yours. I am dealing with it now in some deep state of repression, masking my feelings with the word, “meh.” I hope that you can find a more positive way to deal with that stress during the college application season. You are an incredible student who has accomplished so much in your years at North. I have no doubt that you will aim high and achieve so much more in college and beyond.

I feel you, Jordan. Though we were told so often that college apps is a lengthy and stressful process, you don’t truly understand until you experience it. I think that for a lot of us it’s been pretty overwhelming lately, with classes and college stuff eating us up. I haven’t known you for long, but from what I’ve heard/seen in our 2 classes together, I think that you’ll end up doing well when it comes to be the end of the process for college. Let’s hope that it gets better next semester or in the upcoming months!

Jordan, I can;t express how much I relate to all this. There’s so many ups and downs nowadays, feelign one day like you know what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, then questioning it all the next day. These are confusing times for all of us, but knowing you from 6th grade, and having seen firsthand your work ethic, and working together with you in our classes and SciOly, I know you’ll succeed at anything you put your mind to. Good luck, you got this!
