Welcome, one and all, to the Omnifight! a battle I myself am not personally involved with, but am looking in on from a spectators point of view. I have done 4 top 10’s of Aquatic Animals, Land Animals, Chefs and now Fantasy Creatures: and it’s time to read across the lists and do the crossover episode. The winner of this bout will go on to fight me in a full rendered battle, both of us at the height of power, to decide the final winner of ultimate destiny. The rules are going to be slightly more in-depth this time, so stick with me as I lay out how this will go.
The Mimic, Competitor #4
Gordon Ramsay, Competitor #3
Man, Competitor #2
Tiktaalik, Competitor #1
Because I am civilized and want to give all parties an even chance, we will run this in two brackets. The first is I will divide the 4 into two pairs to then fight one another and determine a victor. Following this will be a battle in which nobody is aligned with nobody, so effectively a free for all. The first battle will be taking place in a 75 by 75ft square arena that is 25 feet tall with around mid-ankle high water for the Tiktaalik. Humanoid fighters will not receive any extra weapons beyond what they brought on their person: and to be fair to everyone the two humans will not be on the same team as one another in fear of a flawless victory.
The two teams will be Gordon Ramsay and the Tiktaalik, and Man and the Mimic. Furniture has been distributed across the arena to give the mimic more of a home turf advantage. Gordon Ramsay, being Gordon Ramsay, comes with a chefs outfit, frying pan, and kitchen knife. The Tiktaaliks endurance has been increased by 200% to give it a fighting chance.
To start off the duel, even with distance accounted for: Gordon Ramsay and The Man are going to be fighting head to head from the start. The Tiktaalik shifts up to provide support to Gordon Ramsay by biting at the mans ankles and hopping up on furniture and going for his head: but it’s not going to be a big game changer unfortunately. Gordon Ramsay and the Man would go steady for a bit, I am giving the man the advantage of Martial Arts training to keep up with Gordon Ramsay so the battle isn’t one sided, and eventually the frying pan due to its weight and unwieldiness is knocked away. Gordon and the man back up to observe the other, circling and debating how to approach the fight. Neither is making great progress, and their partners aren’t too much help at the moment- they’re at a stalemate. At least, it appears this way until Gordon Ramsay finally has a revelation- he must use his greatest technique in this battle to defeat the man.
On the sidelines, the Tiktaalik is unfortunately taken out by the mimic. It tries beaching on a table to then get the jump on the man, not realizing the table is the mimic and is promptly eaten and defeated. Its a fish so not too much it can do in this situation. Meanwhile, Gordon Ramsay re-engages the man, this time using heavy psychological warfare to weaken his resolve. And it works! The man starts slipping up, his hands tremble and his moves are thrown off by Gordon’s insults and berating. It’s just the edge Gordon Ramsay needs, and he makes a window of opportunity to defeat the man. Gordon is almost caught off guard by the mimic, but would notice the fin of his former friend and defeat the mimic before he’s surprised by it- leaving team 2, Gordon Ramsay’s team, the victor.
If we jump into the full free for all fights, I think we can observe a similar outcome to the team based battle. Gordon Ramsay is a dangerous opponent, with tricks and psychological warfare to get the upper hand- and his skills in the kitchen can translate handily into a battle. He is simply the superior competitor in the line-up, he can fight the average human easily and make stir-fry of fish and fantasy creatures alike. As such, he is my final foe: my final competition before the world is mine. I must defeat him… or die trying.
Another week, another amazing blog post. I have been looking forward to this fight. This was quite the epic battle, one which will not be forgotten! The arena was very well made, and I liked the line-up we had to work with. I think that the fish definitely had a disadvantage, and was doomed at the start, unfortunately. Pretty much anything in that arena could easily defeat the fish, but it was still disappointing to see him go. While I admit I don’t know much about mimics, they seem very deadly, especially considering their ability to turn into the furniture around the arena. Those teeth look pretty nasty too, so if I was the man I would be much more worried about the mimic than Ramsey. Honestly, you have got to remember that Ramsey is 57, meaning he will be slow, weak, and pretty easy to beat. I think Man or mimic could have pretty easily overpowered him, even with his knife. With the martial arts skills given to man, he could have won easily. As for defeating the mimic, I would have simply tried to bait it out and survive as long as possible. Considering its lack of legs, I think I could pretty easily defeat it after a while. Overall, very good blog, and I can’t wait to see your battle with Ramsey.
Jackson, when I saw the title of this blog I was definitely intrigued, and many questions came to my mind. What does omni-top 4 mean, was my main question but it was quickly overshadowed by megafight, which steeped my interest. I have to say, your 4 competitors seem very strong, bar the human, even though I dont really know what a mimic is, it seems like the bracket would be interesting to watch. I think that your decision to buff the tikaalik was a wise one, as I feel like while the fish is pretty cool on its own, I dont exactly like its chances in this cage match scenario. Getting into the battle, a lot went down that I feel like needs to be talked about. The majority of the battle went about as I would have expected it to, being very chaotic and somehow not super one-sided. Where I think the battle gets really interesting is when Gordon Ramsay uses his biggest skill, mental warfare. I think that not only is this super accurate, but also super effective because if you destroy a man’s will to fight, you destroy the man. Overall, this was a super fun hypothetical fight that I never would have though of in a million years.
