Top 10 Top 10 Lists

If WatchMojo’s meteoric rise in the early 2010s is any indication, people love top 10 lists. I’m no exception. Today I’ll be going over the best of the best; my personal top 10 list of top 10 lists.

  1. Top 10 Years

This can be a great list to get to know someone better. Ask them to share their top 10 years with you, and enjoy the trip down memory lane. For us younger folks, it might be hard to remember 10 distinct years from our lives, but it can serve as a good memory exercise, and a fun way to share more about your past.

Conversely, maybe you don’t want to hear about 10 years of someone else’s life, or you’re talking to a 9-year-old. In that case, you could ask them to put a more historical spin on the list. Perhaps they’re a major history buff and 1776 really caught their fancy, or a cinephile who can’t get enough of 1994.

  1. Top 10 McDonald’s Items

I don’t think there are ten distinct items at McDonald’s worthy of being purchased, so you could consider cutting this list down to a top 5. Even still, this is a fun list that might even result in a surprise trip to Mickey D’s.

  1. Top 10 Numbers

1? 4? 8? 13? 23? 68? 97?

The possibilities are quite literally endless.

  1. Top 10 Friends

For those of you who are fortunate enough to have 10 friends, consider putting this list to use. It could create some entertaining drama in your circle.

  1. Top 10 Favorite Parts of Quarantine

Quarantine obviously had its downsides, but it could be fun to put a positive spin on your time in isolation. Maybe you took up a new hobby, binged 5 seasons of a Netflix show in 3 days, or never used the camera feature on Zoom throughout two entire semesters.

  1. Top 10 Vacation Spots

This list can be a blend, combining vacations of the past with your dream destinations in the future.

  1. Top 10 Artists

I wrote this with musical artists in mind, but if you want to include Picasso or Georgia O’Keefe on this list, more power to you. Getting a sense of the types of artists someone listens to can be a great way to understand their complexities, and possibly discover a different side of them.

  1. Top 10 Foods

There are no limitations on this one. If you’re a fan of snacking you can flood this list with carrots and saltines, or if you want to rank the best 10 different cuts of steak you’ve ever had, feel free. The beauty in this list comes from the various ways you can approach it.

  1. Top 10 Movies

This may be controversial for those who don’t really watch movies, but I’m a big fan of movie rankings. A vast assortment of films to choose from means no two lists will ever look exactly the same, and the same person could be a fan of a wide spectrum of genres, from murder mysteries to romcoms to political dramas.

  1. Top 10 Songs

The rationale behind this one is similar to #4. However, the specificity and emotions behind a single song can deliver a much more powerful message than an artist’s entire discography. This list capitalizes on the power behind music and is my personal favorite top 10 list, because of what it can reveal about a person.

    Helloooo Adi!
I am a huge fan of this idea. Top 10 top 10s! I mean lowkey just ingenious, I must say.
Personally, here are some of my answers for your list in order from 1-10
    10. 2007, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2020, 2019, 2021, 2011,2012
    9. Double Quarter Pounder, Quarter Pounder, Big Mac, Chicken Nuggets. I forgot to mention fries, they might be first along with caramel sundae and McFlurrey
    8. No clue, 8394517230315234, I just picked random digits that you can piece together in any way you’d like to create 10 numbers, that should say enough about me
    7. This was the one list on this list I was like AYO slow down there, I’m not sure if that’s a good idea
    6. Sleeep, Sleeep, Winning the ISB solo competition(you nor anyone else here probably knows what that is, but that was super exciting for me personally), sleep, eating, sitting, having my siblings home – I forgot about that, you can guess what my last few are (sleep) and Netflix I guess
    5. It was fun to visit my grandparents in Montana every now and then, Indonesia, Hawaii, Australia, Prague, Finland, NOT RUSSIA – getting through the border was complete hell, I went to a lot of other European countries with the CYSO that I just remember as Prague and Finland as well, so I’m just going to use that as the last bits of my 10
    4. Rinat Ibragimov, Xavier Foley, Edgar Meyer, The Piano Guys, 2Cellos, Joyner Lucas, J. Cole, Andres Martin, Queen, Jessie Murph
    3. Literally any kind of Indonesian food>anything. Steakkkk also, literally any cut
    2. Ocean’s 11, I don’t know, really what tiles, but that was my favorite movie, the series was, and Ocean’s 8 was just a complete letdown
    1. Temperamental, Irish Fantasy, I’m Sorry, Sobriety, Bohemian Rhapsody, Smells Like Teen Spirit(2Cellos), Berlin, Fly Love, Mombasa, Miss Independent
    What about you?

This is an interesting spin on a channel that had a sector of YouTube on lock for years. One of my personal favorites is Top 10 Numbers, but only consisting of numbers 0-9. I believe the ranking for that list should be 7, 6, 3, 8, 4, 2, 0, 1, 5, 9. I love the number 9 not only because it’s a perfect square, but also because that’s the month I was born in. Actually, both the month and day (25) I was born on are perfect squares. That also explains why I have 5 at 2. It’s pretty crazy how WatchMojo was able to rank and list a seemingly endless amount of things from such a variety of topics and subjects.
