personally I have a mixed preference in music. I like to listen to rap and things to turn up but my favorite songs are lyrical because I really pay attention to little things in songs such as the meaning behind lyrics and why a song has this instrument or why the song sounds a certain way. I like to get lost in my imagination and be inspired with what I listen to.

logic is my favorite artist. hes different because he raps about world issues and he listen afraid spread his lyrics. his album everybody is about spreading equality and solving world issues such as suicide. the main reason i love this song because i lost one of my Friends from cross country. he killed himself and when ever i listen to this song it reminds me of him and what he could be going through.

Shawn is another favorite because i love how he includes a acoustic in every song and he is such a good song writer. in my blood talks about his anxiety and how he wants to give everything up because of it but in a literal seance it is not in his blood to give up and that where the title comes from. i think that so inspiring and its a good motivator to follow your dreams.

I’ve never really confessed it but i do have anxiety. I’ve never had to go to the doctor for it but anxiety always gets me lost in my own mind and tells me that I wont achieve my dreams or what will happen if I don’t do this or that and so many things get in my head. in anxiety which is also in his everybody album, logic talks about his experience with anxiety but at the end of the song he tells a story and all the thoughts that go through his head. its all around a good song and is a good beat but I love it because of the story he tells and how people with anxiety see things different. one of the quotes he says is that ” as a kid i though grown ups didn’t know s*** which scares me because now i’m just a grown up that does not know s***.” he just puts things in perspective and makes you really think in your mind.

same love talks about being gay and how people react to it. it talks about how people do not accept people and go out of their way to make people feel bad though a screen. if you really think about it you realize how dumb that concept really is. how people go out of their way to hurt people. it has really inspired me to treat everyone equally and stand up for people that feel like they are not equal. one of my missions is to make everyone included in society weather they are gay or straight. i’m not gay myself but it pains me to see people act this way towards other people and attack people that are gay through the screen of their phone just because they want to.

black spiderman is all about not being afraid of what you are. weather you are gay, straight , white, or black. he really shows that by explaining that you should not be afraid of what you are you are or what you believe. if you think Jesus might have been black go ahead and believe that no one is going to stop you. i really love this song because its so positive and its so inspirational and it really gives you a perspective that what if Jesus is black and what that would be like.
