My name is Seth Matthews and I am a senior at Naperville North.  During my free time I like to play lacrosse, go to concerts/music festivals with my friends, or do anything with my friends in general.  Everything costs money nowadays, so I work a job at GNC to be able to afford to eat out and have fun on the weekends.

Lacrosse was a sport I picked up as an incoming freshman, and instantly fell in love with it.  I’ve made so many great friends and bonds with those people over these past years, it’s going to be very tough to leave it behind.  I came into North playing 3 sports my freshman year, but after playing a full season for each I realized that lacrosse was going to be my main focus for the rest of high school.  One thing I continued to participate in throughout my high school career is DVSA, or DuPage Valley Special Athletes.  This is a Special Olympics soccer program that I joined as a freshman, and made many great connections by doing so.

Music is also a huge part of my life.  You’ll always catch me with my earbuds in no matter where I am.  I love rap music but I also like EDM.  This summer I went to the Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash Festival.  This was one of the best experiences of my life because I was a fan of every single artist in attendance and was able to yell the words to every song.  Right before the summer ended I went to my first EDM festival called North Coast and also had a very good time.

Lastly, as soon as I turned 16 I got a job at GNC, which is right by my school.  I’ve been working there ever since and enjoy it a lot.  I often help out my friends and give them discounts on things like protein or whatever else they need to help them workout.  There is a new energy drink called Bang! that I showed to my whole lacrosse team, and now everyone drinks one before each game.  It helped us get very far last year, thanks to the discounts on cases I would give to everybody.
