the World from My Eyes

Binging Netflix?

There is only so much that I have to fill my time during this quarantine. In a typical day I wake up, eat, workout, get in the hot tub and watch tv. There really isn’t too much else that I do. Thankfully, some people are really good at making tv series. If you’re looking for a good show, read on… because these are the best shows on Netflix.

My Current Shows:

A few days ago I started Outer Banks, a show about a group of teenagers living on an island. Currently there are only 10 episodes, but this show has so many crazy changes and it is always exciting. I highly recommend watching it if you have not already. After finishing outer banks in 2 days, I started watching All American, a show about a kid from Crenshaw who moves to Beverly Hills to play football. This show is pretty good so far but it isn’t quite as good as the rest of the shows on this list.

Honorable Mention: Friends

Friends is a great show about a group of friends living in apartments in New York. This is a perfect show to watch as a brain break. It doesn’t take much to focus on Friends and this is a show that will really make you feel good. Unfortunately, Netflix took Friends off a little while ago so you’ll have to look elsewhere to find it.

#5 – Ozark

Ozark is another show that I am watching right now. I am currently in the middle of season three and I have loved every second. Ozark follows the life of Marty Byrde in his quest to launder money for the cartel. Lots of crazy shit happens to the Byrde family in their journey from Naperville to the Ozarks and it will keep you on the edge of your seat.

#4 – The Office

The Office is a show similar to Friends in the way that it just makes you feel good. Most people probably have at least some idea what the office is about. But for those who don’t, it takes place in (as you may have guessed) an office. The characters in this show from Michael to Jim to Dwight and all the rest really make every episode fun and exciting to watch.

#3 – The Good Place

Another great show is the Good Place, following the life of Eleanor who goes to the “Good Place” after she dies however it isn’t exactly what she expects it to be. To avoid spoiling anything I’ll leave it at that. The Good Place is a mix of a feel good show and one with a plot which is why I ranked it so high.

#2 –  Breaking Bad (Better Call Saul)

Next on my list is Breaking Bad. This show is about Walter White who is diagnosed with cancer. Instead of trying to fight the disease, he chooses to do what he can to make sure he provides for his family after he passes away. This leads Walt to start selling crystal meth. As you can imagine, this leads to all kinds of crazy shit that happens. Alongside Breaking Bad is Better Call Saul, which is a prequel to Breaking Bad. While I haven’t watched it yet, my brother has constantly recommended it and so I have promised to watch it after I finish Ozark.

#1 -The Walking Dead

Finally we get to my personal favorite show which follows the life of Rick Grimes. Rick is hospitalized in the first episode and when he wakes he finds that the entire world has been taken over by zombies. For the next few years Rick meets a wide range of survivors and along with them he has many close encounters to death.
