the World from My Eyes

John Wick or High School Seniors?

This February at North, hundreds of seniors became John Wick overnight as the calendar reached February and the first round of Senior Assassins began. As most of you probably know everyone who is playing is assigned a “target” who they have to shoot with a water gun before the end of each round or they will be out.

In preparation for February 1st, many people, including myself, ran to their local stores to grab the last of the remaining water guns. So in honor of this, here are the most overdone water guns currently on the market. Hopefully your “killer” did not buy these buy these and if they did you should just quit right now because they definitely care more than you.

5 –  $34.83 – Nerf Supersoaker Soakzooka Water Gun

At Number 5 we have the Soakzooka, weighing in at 1.85 pounds and holding 55 ounces of water. This gun is the cheapest of the 5 on the list however it is still far more than the 3 dollar handgun that the rest of us are holding. From everything I’ve read this gun gets the job done and is pretty good for small water fights.

4 – $52.00 – Nerf Supersoaker Squal surge

The Squal Surge Supersoaker holds up to 16fl oz of water and shoots at 35 feet away. Most reviews on this product were great, describing a high accuracy and little total leaking. One review titled “great for cats” came from a man who bought the gun to shoot at his neighbors cats when they would wander onto his land. This man was very satisfied with his purchase, however hopefully nobody at our school spent the $52 to get this gun.

3 – $59.99 – Nerf Supersoaker Thunder Storm water gun

The Thunder Storm gun is a motorized, fully automatic trigger activated gun with a removable clip. This gun does not need to be pumped at all and shoots up to 25 feet away. This is the last of the semi reasonable guns on this list. If you’re killer has this you still have hope, but you’re probably not going to live. Of the guns on this list the Thunder Storm would have to be my personal favorite. If you read on though you will fully understand why it is not at the top of the overdone list.

2 – $85.00 – Super Soaker Max-D 4000 Blaster Water Gun

The Max D weighs just over a pound and fires water up to 35 feet. Thankfully this is usually out of stock as it is no longer manufactured as much as it used to. This gun was hard to find on amazon and since every other selling site is blocked on our chromebooks I could not find many other stats on this gun. All I know is that it holds a serious amount of water and I really hope I don’t get shot by this.

1 – $129.95 – Larami Super Soaker CPS 2700 Water Blaster

Finally, we have the CPS 2700, easily the biggest water gun I have ever seen. The water capacity in this gun is far too big to even make sense. Weighing in at 5.1 lbs, and holding more than double the water of any other gun on this list, the CPS 2700 is by far the most overdone water gun that there is. Simply looking at the price tag likely turned away everyone in our grade, but if there’s anyone out there who bought this, I hope you win.

As of this writing, I am still alive in Senior Assassins and I have 1 “kill” (sorry Megan). The gun I bought was a $7 purple pistol from amazon. I don’t know who has me but if you’re reading this and you know, please reach out. Also Meg if you’re reading this I’m going to shoot you tomorrow morning on the way to school, sorry in advance.
