RAP TALK!

RAP TALK!

Intro to rap talk

Hello it’s Luke here from Luke’s Len and today I’m here to talk to you about rap music. My nickname for these types of blogs will be rap talk. Now if you’re sitting here wondering what rap is then I don’t know if this is the right place for you but I welcome all people to read my blogs.  Rap is a form of music in fact it is my favorite form of music and truth be told I love to talk about Rap music. So here’s how things are going to go with rap talk. I will have 3 segments, the first one will be about upcoming music.  The second will be about music that came out recently and my last and final segment will be about artists in general whether that be upcoming artists or established artists.

Upcoming Music

As far as upcoming music goes tonight Johnathan Kirk more commonly known as “Dababy” is dropping his second installment of his Baby on Baby series titled “Baby on Baby 2”. Dababy has spent a long time away from the rap game and his return has been awaited by many of his fans and many of those who hate him. Dababy has been a polarizing figure in the rap industry due to some questionable things he has said and his constant trouble and run-ins with the law. For more info on that visit https://www.billboard.com/lists/dababy-controversies-timeline/ . However on the music side of things Dababy is considered by many one of the more talented rappers of the new era of rap.  His fast flowing catchy bars and fast  imposing beats make him one of the easier artists to listen to for young people who like rap. Now evidently we don’t know where Dababy is right now with his sound as most artists tend to develop their sound as time goes on and obviously since the album drops tomorrow or Friday September 23rd I have yet to hear what Dababy has in store for us.

Recent Releases

When it comes to recent drops Nav dropped his new album “Demons Protected By Angels.” which came with 19 tracks. Nav is a rapper from Canada whose claim to fame is being one of the only mainstream Indian rappers. He has accomplished a lot in sort career. Notching songs with some of the biggest artists in the game. You can see some of these huge artists on his new release, It was an album that I would say flew a little under the radar. As its first week sales flew under Navs typical production with sales. However Nav still delivered an album that I think a lot of fans enjoyed as it received a 92% thumbs up rating from google reviewers, to get more involved with NAV visit https://www.navmusic.com/ .

Artist of the week.

Last but not least we have our artist of the week that we will be talking about and today the artist will be yeat. Yeat is an up and coming rapper from Oregon. He’s known for his sensational and unique production. He’s also known for his unique outfits and his consistency of rocking turbans and headscarves. Yeat has a plethora of recent projects (Up 2 Me, 2 Alive, Lyfe) Yeat seems to be an artist that II think is here to stay he’s too unnique and he has one of those cult like fan bases that tend to take artists far. For me on yeat visit https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/yeat-lyfe/ . That’s it for rap talk this week. Thanks for reading!
