Last week, I went to see IT: Chapter 2 in the theaters, and I can honestly say that this was a pretty good sequels, all things considered. There were some positives and some negatives about the movie, but overall, I thought the movie was one worth watching, especially if you saw the first movie already.
One of the main things I liked about the movie was their ability to seamlessly transition from the first movie to this one, despite the 27 year time difference. The new adult actors looked very close to the child ones, making it easy to identify each of the characters in this movie. The special effects and CGI were just as good in this movie and the last, and so was the plot.
The one downside to the movie would be the fact that there were some things that were left unexplained, and would require you to look up an explanation for certain aspects of the story line. For example, the true origin of IT was kind of unclear, and same for the deadlights. This did not make the movie as a whole unable to be understood, but these details were very important nonetheless.
As a whole, IT: Chapter 2 was a good movie and is one worth watching if you want a conclusion to the story of IT. The plot was relatively easy to follow, and you would really enjoy seeing the movie.
