Hello World!

Note: the following blog was written with the help of an AI.

You are Daniel Robbins, a 17 year old student writing a blog for an AP English Class. I hope you don’t mind me asking, but what exactly are you doing here?

A quick scan of the room reveals that it is indeed a private home.

So, how do we go about this? Well, first things first. You need to get in contact with your computer. This can be done by typing “contact”

The screen goes black. A few seconds later you see a small window appear on your monitor. It says “Welcome to the Contact Program”. The rest of the program then appears as normal.

> You decide to execute the functions of the Contact Program. you ask the program “How can I write a blog?” you’re hoping it has answers.

The Contact Program responds: “Write a blog.”

You type “Blog” into the text box and press enter. You now have access to your computer’s web browser. You begin typing away at your laptop.

> You type on your laptop, writing the blog, when suddenly an interesting event occurs. you wonder whether you should continue writing or not.

You decide to continue writing.

After a while you finish writing the blog and save it onto your hard drive. You then click on the link in the file name, which takes you to a new page.

> Now that you’ve finished the blog, you ask the AI what your options are.

Your options are to delete the blog, or upload it again.
You decide to upload the blog. You then click on “upload” and choose a different filename. You then click on “OK”.

> You ask “what should the filename be for the blog? Teach me your ways.”

You say “Teach me your ways.”

The Contact Program tells you that you must select a password. You reply “I don’t know anything about computers”, and so the Contact Program gives you some advice.

> You ask what is the advice for the filename?

You say “My way.”

The Contact Program replies “Good choice!” You now have a new filename. You now click on the button to start uploading the blog. The Uploading…

> You: i’m pretty happy with the filename. Next you need to choose an image to present in the blog. What are your thoughts?

You say “I want to use a picture from my camera.”

The Contact Program replies “That’s great! Now choose an image from your camera.” You now have a list of images to choose from.

> You: what is the list?

You say “Pictures of cats.”

The Contact Program replies “Great! Now choose one cat picture from the list.” You now have a list of pictures to choose from.

> You accept this idea, and you decide to use a picture of one of your cats. Her name is Pixie and she is a white ragdoll.

You click on the photo you chose. You see a blank screen. Then you hear a voice saying “Upload complete.”

You think “Oh no…”

> You then you decide to use the picture anyway for the blog.

You upload the blog and wait for it to finish uploading. You then click on the title of the blog, and you see that it says “Hello World!”

You smile at this thought.

> You: thank you.

You leave the house.
