Playlist

This is the list of songs that are the most impactful in my life today. All five of these songs allow so many memories, emotions, and much more flood my mind every time that I listen to them.

Sam Smith- Stay with me

Why am I so emotional?

No, it’s not a good look, gain some self control

Deep down I know this never works

But you could lay with me

So it doesn’t hurt

Oh, won’t you stay with me?

‘Cause you’re all I need

This song reminds me of all of the good times that I had with one of my friends that passed away at a young age. This song is able to take control of my emotions without fail every time I listen to it.

Earth, Wind, Fire- September

Our hearts were ringing

In the key that our souls were singing

As we danced in the night

Remember how the stars stole the night away

Hey hey hey

Ba de ya, say do you remember

Ba de ya, dancing in September

Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day

This song reminds me of last summer. It was an incredible time and I strengthened so many different relationships through these through months. I love all of the memories that come with this song.

Kenny Chesney-  Boys of fall

When I feel that chill, smell that fresh cut grass

I’m back in my helmet, cleats, and shoulder pads

Standing in the huddle, listening to the call

Fans going crazy for the boys of fall

They didn’t let just anybody in that club

Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood

To get to wear those game-day jerseys down the hall

The kings of the school, man, we’re the boys of fall

Well it’s turn to face the stars and stripes

It’s fighting back them butterflies

It’s call it in the air, alright

Yes sir, we want the ball

And it’s knocking heads and talking trash

It’s slinging mud and dirt and grass

It’s I got your number, I got your back

When your back’s against the wall

You mess with one man, you got us all

The boys of fall

In little towns like mine, that’s all they’ve got

Newspaper clippings fill the coffee shops

The old men will always think they know it all

Young girls will dream about the boys of fall

Well it’s turn and face the stars and stripes

It’s fighting back them butterflies

It’s call it in the air, alright

Yes sir, we want the ball

And it’s knocking heads and talking trash

It’s slinging mud and dirt and grass

It’s I got your number, I got your back

When your back’s against the wall

You mess with one man, you got us all

The boys of fall

Well it’s turn and face the stars and stripes

It’s fighting back them butterflies

It’s call it in the air, alright

Yes sir, we want the ball

And it’s knocking heads and talking trash

It’s slinging mud and dirt and grass

It’s I got your number, I got your back

When your back’s against the wall

You mess with one man, you got us all

The boys of fall

We’re the boys of fall

We’re the boys of fall

We’re the boys of fall

We’re the boys of fall

This song is the only song that is somewhat able to describe the relationship that is made through teammates on a football team. I have so many great memories from this fall and so many new friendships because of it.

Sean Fogerty- Center Field

Well-a, beat the drum and hold the phone,

The sun came out today.

We’re born again, there’s new grass on the field.

A-roundin’ third, and headed for home,

It’s a brown-eyed handsome man,

Anyone can understand the way I feel

Ooohh —

Put me in coach, I’m ready to play today

Put me in coach, I’m ready to play today

Look at me, I can be, Centerfield

Well, I spent some time in the Mudville Nine

Watching it from the bench

You know I took some lumps, when the mighty Case struck out

So “Say Hey” Willie, tell the Cobb, and Joe DiMaggio

Don’t say it ain’t so

You know the time is now

Yeah!

I got it, I got it!

Got a beat-up glove, a home-made bat

And a brand new pair of shoes.

You know I think it’s time to give this game a ride

Just to hit the ball, and touch ’em all, a moment in the sun

It’s-a gone and you can tell that one good-bye

Ooohh —

Put me in coach, I’m ready to play today

Put me in coach, I’m ready to play today

Look at me, gotta be, Centerfield

Yeah!

This song is in every batting practice playlist that I have ever heard, so there are so many different memories that are with this song. Every time I hear this song I’m able to go right back to the batting cages with my teammates and have a great time improving my swing.

Zac Brown Band- Chicken Fry

Cold beer on a Friday night

A pair of jeans that fit just right

And the radio up

I like to see the sunrise

See the love in my woman’s eyes

Feel the touch of a precious child

And know a mother’s love

It’s funny how it’s the little things in life that mean the most

Not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes

There’s no dollar sign on a peace of mind, this I’ve come to know

So if you agree have a drink with me

Raise your glasses for a toast

To a little bit of chicken fried

This song reminds me of a great time with my friends and family. The song said it perfectly, it the little things in life that mean the most. I have come by to almost live by these words, to cherish every little happy moment that you have in your life and always be grateful for what you have rather than be jealous of others.
