Hello, this is all about me, Cole McManus. To start off with, I am in a family of 5, and the youngest. Both of my sisters have either gone through college or still in college. My family roots are from Iowa and southern Arkansas. My family and my friends are a huge part of my life, I look up to my sisters and my parents for advice and I look to my friends to cheer me up when I’m not feeling the best.
Another main thing about me is that I am addicted to playing baseball. I love everything about the sport, its what I do when I’m nervous, stressed or worried. I am trying to get into college through baseball so I can keep on playing the sport that I love. I have been playing baseball practically since I could walk, and it has only affected me positively and I wouldn’t give up those years for the world. Baseball has also created a lot of stress in my life, as I am constantly trying to find a home for my future. My dad is always trying to get me to go out and do more and I wish that I listened to him more because I know that If I did I would be in a better place with the sport.
Another thing about me is that I play football along with baseball. It is a close second to baseball, and I extremely respect the sport of football. I love how It changes your mindset into a more disciplined manner and how it makes a brotherhood with your teammates more than any other sport in my opinion. I didn’t play sophomore year and it’s one of my biggest regrets in my short life. I strongly feel that it is something that you get experience for life that you receive nowhere else as a teenager. Football for me is another way that I can thrive in baseball but also in school, as it gives me that discipline that I need to constantly do my homework and make sure I don’t get behind in my grades.
I’m also in Band, and I’m kind of a strange mix because not many people do both sports and band. Music has been in my life for as long as I can remember. Both of my parents played, my oldest sister majored in music education and my other sister plays in her college’s jazz band. I’m also very grateful for all of the opportunities that I have memories that I have made through music, it is the main way that I express my creativity and my personality since I am normally a very quite and reserved person. In-band I play the Saxophone and I seem to play a different saxophone every year. I’ve played alto, tenor, and bari, and I haven’t decided which one is my favorite.
