My name is Alexis Rosado. I am a Junior at the school Naperville North High School, welcome to my blog. Where do I start? I am Puerto Rican, Thai and Laos. I love to eat Hispanic food and to cook Asian food. I am the daughter of a man born and raised in Chicago Illinois and the daughter of a woman who was raised in Thailand. I am a singer and musician. I love to write my own music and produce my own beats. I’ve always wanted to be a musical performer since I was 4 years old, my sister has always been my inspiration for that. I am a Friend, a daughter, a sister and middle child, and girlfriend. I am a friend to very few people because I prefer to keep my circle small and chose wisely who I chose to associate with.  I am a sister to two brothers, one younger and one older, and one older sister. I am a girlfriend to a boy who’s an extrovert and a foot taller than me.  I am an introvert. I prefer to keep quiet, not to talk or be put in situations I’m not comfortable with. I am an introvert who hates speeches, group projects and  I prefers to work alone,  and is scared to ask questions.

Growing up I always experienced two different cultures, Buddhist and Christian. My moms side of the family was always super religious. When I was little I went to a Laos Temple with my grandma. On the other hand, my dads side of the family was Christian. Although my family and aren’t that family that gets dressed up and goes to church every Sunday, I still consider myself more Christian than Buddhist. Experiencing two different cultures growing I’ve always had a wide variety of different foods and different traditions. I’ve love to cook Laos and Thai food, although it takes a long time, my mom always cooks for the family so I enjoy watching her cook and learning how to make things.

Since I was 4 years old I’ve always dreamed of being a music producer or music performer. Since fifth grade I’ve always been involved in something music related. I was involved in Orchestra fifth through seventh grade, I also joined choir in sixth grade. After 7th grade I decided singing is more my passion that playing an instrument. Since then I’ve been involved in choir for the past five years and will continue to be involved. I’d like to go to college for music performance and/or music production.

I think I’ve been an introvert my whole life. Ever since grade school I never wanted to be apart of class activities or on a team. I’ve always wanted to work or sit by myself. I think its because I’ve moved a lot in my life and I haven’t necessarily fit in with being the new kid. I work better by myself because I don’t feel that pressure of having to get everything right and if I do i’d have to deal with the embarrassment.
