Hello, Abraam! First of all, catchy blog title there.
I like how you lay out your opinion and analyze the benefits of technology — specifically with regard to the convenience it offers. You provide a lot of real-life, relatable examples that help to bolster your argument.
I wonder if you could expand more on the benefits of technology in the fourth paragraph? Although you talk a little bit about how technology has improved our lives through the case of the TV, I don’t see a lot of elaboration with regard to the other, non-electronic benefits of technology. How has technology improved transportation or medicine? I think if you were to answer these questions, your post would be stronger than it already is.
Interesting concept. Technology is definitely something that has, and will continue to, shape every generation and the way we live our lives. However, I must say that your idea of technology is a little narrowed, as anything can be technology. Still, you make good points. Inventions like the toaster have revolutionized the way we live our lives, providing an easier way to toast bread. Yet, it can also be seen as a double edged sword, as people now don’t get the experience of making their own toast over a prone to combustion 1890s gas stove.
I really enjoyed reading about your perspective upon technology. Exploring it as a large and ever-pervasive concept really helped put into the perspective the pros and cons of it and its implications. However, I think you pointing out the concept of optimization, really stood out to me, because there are many guides or self-help books that try to make someone be able to do many things at once, or try and multitask. Although this automation in our technology is present, I believe that it is also ingrained in our societal truths. We all want to speed things up and not take the time to think about our actions. I think its important to remember where we came from and how its sometimes better to take time in order to complete a task instead of just rushing to complete something in order to meet a deadline.
