Hey it’s a me Sivaayan : ) Looks like you’ve finally found the page you’ve desired to read all along. A page ripe with the reading information you’ve ever wanted to know about. I know, it kinda sounds iffy doesn’t it? A high school senior being able to provide any kind of reliable information at all? Don’t worry, because after you find out all about the type of person I am, I’m quite sure you’ll have no regrets about the blogs you’ll see.

I was born an only child, the first generation child to a pair of immigrants who came to this country to escape a war that they had lived through most of their lives. Yet I was luckier than the two of them throughout my childhood, being able to live in a peaceful country with opportunities around every corner. Steeple Run Elementary, into Jefferson Junior High, and ending up at Naperville North High School, through the learning, my teachers, my friends, and so much more I was able to transform into the quirky 17 year old brown child I am today.

I lived through my life as the funny brown kid, maybe trying too hard at times, but eventually trying to get to know the people and the community that surrounded me everyday. I love, absolutely love being around other people and getting to know and socialize with those around me. Being able to be a part of a bigger community and be able to help others integrate into it is one of my biggest constant goals in life, and something I continue to work with outside of school within my jobs. I’m passionate about working with kids with disabilities and helping them become acclimated to the societal life, through gym class, or through my job which acts as a park district, and something I wish to go into in college primarily in the Medical field.

The two biggest extracurriculars in my life are Tennis and Swimming, and two things I’ve continued to do for at least 10 or so years each, yet I still have major work to do on each one. I coach my swim team over the summer, and I play tennis through club, as well as at the school, something I plan on doing with swimming this year.

So with those three paragraphs, I hope that was enough for you to find some sort of relatability, and if not, don’t worry I’ll be continuously updating this page to try and find something for you to understand about me. I know right…it’s already so tough to find something to like and relate to about me. What kind of weirdo does Tennis and Swimming and went to Jefferson Junior High out of all middle schools like jeez what kind of combo is that?

Anyways, as a first generation student in America, I can feel the pressure rising and rising throughout the search for college, and for academics to continue to go amazing, as is for many of my peers. But it’s something I continue to persevere through day in and day out, and eventually just look for that last day to make the people who supported me proud. And hey, if you’re reading this blog, thanks for being one of those who support me.
