My Song Playlist

  1.  Marilyn Manson:The Beautiful People  This was the first ever song that got me interested into his music. This song is also  what got me heavily interested to metal overall.  So this song, later in my life is the one I will think back and say to myself, this is what got me started.

2. Slipknot: Unsainted:  This song is my favorite Slipknot song by far.  This song  was the reason why I needed to go see them live because of how good this song was on their newest album.  When they played this song I thought it sounded just as good live.https://youtu.be/hfXUQuQV-4o

3) Metallica: One  The reason why I love this song is because it’s a calmer metal song and it sounds great.  The song has a great message about our troops coming back with PTSD and why this issue should be acknowledged. https://youtu.be/aSNJ00iAZ7I

4)  White Zombie: More Human Than Human  When I first saw Rob Zombie at a concert this was the song that I had been waiting for all night.  I just love the guitar playing in it and I love every time when he dives into the crowd and interacts with them.

5) Disturbed: Are You Ready/  One of my favorite songs and this song I know will never get old for me. It’s such a good sounding song with great guitar playing .  I love hearing this on the radio.Another thing i love about the band and the song is that it sounds just the same as the music video on you tube so this means that the lead singers voice is legit.

Lyrics: Are you ready!? Get up! Get up! are you ready now? for the revolution for too long your power has been taken away

Something that Has Made Me Inspired

A huge turning point for me is a story I was told of over the summer by my uncle. He told me why and how he choose the career choices earlier in his life that have shaped the rest of his life.  All of this was told to me in mid summer when me, my Uncle  and my Dad were all driving on the highway on our way to a concert.  We were just making jokes about our funny experiences in life when my Uncle began to share with us some of the some of the past jobs he’s had, where’s he worked and details on how he became who is he today by finding what he loved to do in life.  He went into detail about how one of his first jobs was a flight attendant for United Airlines.  He deeply enjoyed traveling, seeing the world and meeting people everywhere he visited. My uncle worked for United for 6 years and traveled as much as he could for work and for free on his own time.  It was a great opportunity to make decent money and be happy doing what he loved.

One of the biggest reasons for me wanting to become a flight attendant is my desire to see the world and experience different cultures.  Trying new foods that are popular all around the world is the one thing I am most looking forward to.  In my opinion ,the most important requirement to being able to become a flight attendant is being good talking with people and getting to know them.  Talking about their travels will help me understand where I may like to go.  So just being friendly and sociable with people you are working with and people your are helping to serve as a flight attendant is crucial.  I feel like this is something I can do easily, just as my uncle did.

In order to be a flight attendant you not only have to be comfortable with spending so much time on airplanes, but it’s also a smart idea to learn about the parts of airplanes and possibly know how to fly one. Being in a cramped space in a plane for hours or even an entire day at a time takes a lot of patience and motivation to still do your job to pleasantly work with people who are flying.  It’s also important to not fall asleep when you shouldn’t or get grumpy after not getting sleep.  Speaking of sleep, it’s crucial to get enough sleep yourself so you’re not falling asleep on the job and having a hard time getting used to the time zone changes you’re guaranteed to encounter while flying.  Your sleep schedule might be off for a day or two on a regular basis.  Another thing that my Uncle told me was it’s super important to be able to wake up early .  Setting your alarm when you have to wake at an extremely early time and actually getting up when the alarm goes off is something you have to be able to do all the time.  You must be able wake up immediately, gather your things and head to the airport.  The passengers are counting on you being on time to get to the plane and have everything prepared for them.   So, the skills of time management and organization are key to success as a flight attendance.

My biggest reward for being a flight attendant is finally making it to an destination that you’ve always wanted to visit.  After a long flight it would be worth it when you land somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit and be paid to get there.  My Uncle shared with me that traveling all over the world and the excitement of seeing something new never gets old.  This is what Jonathan loved the most about being a flight attendant.

For me, the biggest benefit of being a flight attendant is the reward you get for working for an airline is getting much cheaper or free airline fares to go places on your own.  The airline pays for travel and sometimes free hotel rooms.  This is also a benefit for the employee’s family and sometimes, especially, if it’s the weekend, you get to stay in the city or country for the weekend and sight-see or hang out until you have to go back to work.   Getting the opportunity to go to new parts of the America or other countries is incredible.

My love for travel is what could make this job truly worth it for me.  I’m so glad I’ve heard my Uncle’s story about his cool job, travels and adventures so that I could use his helpful advice to help me become successful and get off to a good start if I decide to become a flight attendant.

Normans aftermath of vietnam

In the chapter “Speaking of courage and notes” is the view of  O’Brien writing about Norman Bowker and we get a glimpse of what his life has been like after he left his service in Vietnam. The entire chapter talks all about Normans state of mind and how hes been able to deal with the trauma Vietnam had on him and wishing he had someone to share his heroic stories too. From what the chapter includes about Norman is that hes a Sympathetic character who wishes his old dad cared about him and that he had a larger family and friends to talk to and to get his feelings out because its all built up inside him and hes living with trauma and anxiety everyday.Another piece of evidence that proves that Norman is a Sympathetic character is how lonely he is because its just him driving along a lake having flashbacks of old memories and hes so desperate to let go and express himself he tells fast food workers his story because his own family wont listen to him so this makes you feel badly for him and you wish he gets better. In my honest opinion this really does help me with really understanding what soldiers experience after they leave duty and how difficult it is to cope with everything and you want to know more about what is stressing them out and you think to yourself these are people who have done so much and sacrificed so much for our country. So in conclusion i think Norman Bowker  is a person who means well and who wanted to be heard and understood and his message to the world on fighting for mental health and for veterans after they leave service will have a lasting impact.Image result for ptsd soldiers

sweetheart of song tra bong

In the chapter sweetheart of song tra bong has a huge change when fossies girlfriend Mary Anne moves in and starts working. The whole group knows eventually that her soft kind spirit will eventually break and this is exactly what happens. To answer the first question about what transforms Marry Anne into a predatory killer comes from the environment and the change that someone has to make in a stressful situation such as war is that you have to be tough and have strong mindset and Marry Anne has a huge flip of her behavior during and end of the story. Another point to discuss is if it matters that Marry Anne is a woman i think that it doesn’t  matter because no matter what the war in Vietnam changes a person inside and you cant stop it from happening. For example the war puts stress and tension on everyone and theirs a lot of negativity and one more thing about Marry Anne is that it talks about in the chapter that when people go out to fight in the war, that they would control the war and the war wouldn’t control them so peoples image of what would happen seems to change. When Rat at the beginning of the chapter is telling everyone of his exaggerated war story i think it does really lack believably because rat is the type of guy who loves talking and talking about himself and i think hes telling stories to seem cool and to impress. One of the biggest reason on why people make up war stories is because its so easy to make things up and we believe all of it from things we see in movies and tv and also video games. Making a good war story also gives the person attention and fame at first and whenever a person leaves the service people expect a really awesome and dangerous story.

photos with beauty

in all of these pictures it all depicts violent images of war and next to it it shows what good came out of it.The reason why war is beautiful is because countries are fighting for themselves and defending their country it and it also shows the better result of freedom for people and troops fighting for peoples right.

post about courage

In life I always think having the courage to confront an obstacle is crucial and important to use in life. In the book,  The Things They Carried, Tim O’Brien had crisis of courage. O’Brien had a few options after his draft notice arrived.  One option was to run away to Canada and leave his life in the United States and as an American behind. While on his way to Canada, Tim wanted to escape from the draft.   But after meeting Elroy and spending almost a week at the Tip Top Lodge, he slowly began to regret his decision to cross the border into Canada because he would be labeled coward in the eyes of his family and community. Tim’s other choice would be too accept his draft notice and join the war in Vietnam. One of the biggest reasons to not join the war and except his draft notice was because he was terrified of dying and going to war which he didn’t believe in. O’Brien writes on page 38, “The only certainty that summer was moral confusion.  It was my view then, and still is, that you dont make war without knowing why. Knowledge, of course, is always imperfect, but is seemed to me that when a nation goes to war it must have reasonable confidence in the justice and in imperative of its cause. You can’t fix your mistakes. Once people are dead, you cant make them undead.

Tim O’Brien’s eventual decision to join the war in Vietnam was the right thing because he knew running away from his civic obligation and fears wouldn’t work well for him in the long run. O’Brien also knew that he would develop a huge sense of guilt by not joining to fight for his country.  It  would damage him and his decision would be judged by his friends and family.  Tim was terrified of dying as he was young and had so much life to life in front of him.

Another question related to the story is what was going on in our country at the time.   The United States was requiring young men to leave their safe and comfortable lives to join a war they didn’t understand, and that many did not believe in. It’s fine for the USA to ask for willing people to joins its military ranks.  The advertisements and campaigns to join the military should only result in people joining the military who want to join to protect and serve the country.   There should  not be a real draft.  A person’s decision to join the military should be there own.  It’s their life on the line.  Recruits going to war  should know and accept what they are signing up for before joining and leaving their homes.  If the USA doesn’t have enough people in the conflicts they are involved in, they should think about if there’s enough support from citizens to stay involved.  O’Brien didn’t necessarily believe in the cause and was fearful for his safety and health but in the end decided to be a patriot.
