Looking for thought-provoking content, motivation, or just a good time?
Welcome to my blog, The Jeweled Journal! My name is Jessica Chao and I am 18 years old. This blog will be where I spill my thoughts out into words as if I were in second grade writing in my own little journal again. However, instead of gossiping about what happened at recess today or my love life, I will be sharing my thoughts on a variety of topics ranging from literature, media, and different life lessons.
Explore my blog if you appreciate someone who is willing to be candid about their opinions while still being culturally-sensitive at the same time. No hate, all love.
- A little about myself:
– I run cross country and track
– I want to live in the Pacific Northwest region when I’m older
– Muhammad Ali is one of my biggest inspirations
– I think Forrest Gump is a cinematic masterpiece (Pulp Fiction and Scarface are up there too)
– I have a dog named Kodak
For me, this blog is kind of like an outlet of some sort. It’s a place where I can explore so many different topics and share my honest opinions; it makes me feel like I have some voice in this chaotic society. I recommend everyone to find their own thing that they can use as an outlet to let out their feelings- whether it be blogging, making youtube videos, or creating art. In a world where everything seems to be moving extremely fast and in all sorts of different directions, it’s nice to have something that can bring you back to pace.
If you’re interested and if you’ve got the time, go make yourself an iced coffee and then come back and take a look at some of the posts. My only goal is to stimulate some sort of thinking and hopefully inspire you to make your own voice heard too.
Now here is my favorite quote:
“A bridge of silver wings stretches from the dead ashes of an unforgiving nightmare to a jeweled vision of a life started anew.” -Aberjhani
