Hi, I’m Erin!

I’m currently a senior at NNHS and a very involved one at that. I have been an avid member of Show Choir and Theatre here for the past four years, as well as Curricular Choir and out of school choral singing with Young Naperville Singers. Although this might lead one to believe the only thing I care about is theatrics, I actually have a much larger interest in biology and politics (together or separate). Overall, my interests are widespread across many categories.

My family is something that is very important to me, they are constant supporters and they stand by my side every day. We are always together no matter the circumstances. We always spend time after I get home discussing our days, whether that be 4:00 pm or 1:00 am. My two sisters, Holly and Claire, are both in college, but I make certain to visit them or to plan fun activities to do with them when they are home. Me and Holly’s love for theatre is something that has brought us together since day one, always belting out tunes with each other. On another note, Claire and I have very similar humor, so we are able to spend hours with each other just laughing away. My parents are the best people on earth, they are basically my best friends.

My job is something that I often forget to mention when talking about myself. I am a hostess at Uncle Julio’s, and I have met some wackos. At my job, all of my other hostess friends usually just lounge around, and when it’s not busy, we even bring in books because we have nothing else to do. It is a lot of fun, and the people who come in make it worth-while. We meet a lot of different types of people, and my favorite part of it is when people get unnecessarily mad for no reason. Although at first, it is a little offensive, soon it becomes quite amusing. You just have to take the anger, because then you can laugh at it. This strong will throughout my job has impacted my education as well.

I spend most of my time inside the school building, from 7:00 am-9:00 pm, I basically live there. This really isn’t a problem for me, because I am most productive in school. I pride myself in my academics, and it is something that I find fun and exciting. Currently, as almost all other seniors are, I am also writing college applications. All of these things piling up, although stressful, is what motivates me personally.

Overall, I see myself as a very well-rounded individual, and I know that my many different activities and opinions are what make me so interesting, so I hope that uniqueness continues to grow throughout this blog. I am very excited to write about different things like movies, people, or even college. I can’t wait to see where this path leads, and I’m glad you’re along for the ride.
